reincarnation?

If there is no reincarnation what about Elijah and John the baptist? Is it resurrection, rather than reincarnation?

Re: reincarnation?

Shawn,

Grace, and Mercy, and Peace unto you,
from God, our Father, and our Lord JC.

Indeed, resurrection differs from reincarnation;
But also reconciliation differs from resurrection.

Re: Eljah1... resurrected as John the Baptist (Elijah2);
It was allegorically Law (vengeance mine)... Law (wrath).
So Luke 16:16 notes the end of the Law at death of John.
For Johnny Law baptism spoke of wrath (not mercy) to come.

Law had a "fullness of time": Gal 4, aka an expiration date;
And "Jesus" was made under the law (to redeem ppl under law).
But "Christ" didn't begin grace ministry till johnny law died.
So Romans says x6: peace with God = "through Jesus-->Christ";
Which is as if to allegory say peace is through Law-->Grace.

Aside: Hebrews 9;16,17 (paraphrased) says this:
Grace can't be of force till the testator is dead.
(it was law that testified of grace & truth to come)
(yet grace & truth can't be of force till law is dead)
(it was law who said be perfect, but can't make perfect)
End Aside

Both of two resurrections in John 5 are Law Law;
For both such are a "grave" subject. Grace is not.
So Hebrews 6 says leave "resurrection of the dead" x2,
b/c JC said this twice: "let the dead bury their dead".
For he is not God of the dead, but God of the living:
Matthew 22:32... Mark 12:27... Luke 20:38.
- Grace = God of the living.
- Law = God of the dead.

So "be ye reconciled unto God" in 2Corinthians 5, is
further clarified as "that God" (Grace) in 2Cor 5:19;
where it notes "reconciling" doesn't f-law impute sin.
For Ps 32:2 (Rom 4: says this about blessedness of man:
"Blessed the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin";
So reconciled = no sin to confess, or cover, or forgive.
Rom 4:15 & 5:13 clarify that happens where & when no law.

So we have three stages:
- reconciled = Best, "merciful" unto all... grace
- resurrected = Better, but limited mercy... law
- reincarnation = Good, but not merciful... f-law

So Luke 6:36 (similar to Matthew 5:4 says:
be ye therefore "merciful", as your Father is
(be ye therefore "perfect", as your Father is

For Jesus' Father wasn't merciful in Mt 18:23-35;
And Jesus also wasn't merciful in Mt 25:46; SO
Jesus = f-law, and his Father = Law. Selah.
But Christ's Father, your Father, is merciful.
So the gospel of Paul is "the grace of Christ".

I hope that helped clarify some confusion;
For God is not the author of confusion.

The GRACE of our Lord J-->C with you all. Amen.

Re: reincarnation?

Grace(4UQEG) unto you, from our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

"So we have three stages:
- reconciled = Best, "merciful" unto all... grace
- resurrected = Better, but limited mercy... law
- reincarnation = Good, but not merciful... f-law"

But I observe that

"Resurrection" occurs 40x in the bible (NT only)
"Reconciliation" occurs 8x in the bible
But "reincarnation" occurs nowhere (0x) in the bible.

Is there another word that the bible uses instead? Or is the concept of reincarnation in the bible?

Marshall

May the grace (4UQEG)of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
