Mr. Whiskers says you did not answer the direct question. Was Jesus a real person who walked the earth or was He just a story or "allegory" for our learning? That is a direct and simple question.
It's all "allegory" in both "covenants": Galatians 4

Eg: Matthew 9:13
But go ye and LEARN what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our LEARNING, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope: Romans 15
The New Testament contains seven kinds of hope:
1. glorious hope (Col 1:27)
2. good hope (2Thess 2:16)
3. blessed hope (Titus 2:13)
4. eternal hope (Titus 3:7) - Midst of Seven
5. firm hope (Hebrews 3:6 & 6:11)
6. better hope (Hebrews 7:19)
7. lively hope (1Peter 1:3) - Seventh of Seven
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

Mr. Whiskers assumes that you are saying Jesus was just an allegory/story and was not a real person. Correct me if I am incorrect. I do not want to be crying over the spilt milk of misunderstanding.
