The Cost Sharing From Pastor

Jesus Pictures, Images and Photos

"THE COST!"
"When Jesus saw thr crowd around Him, He gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. Then a teacher of the law came to Him and said, 'Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.' Jesus replied, 'Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head."

Make no mistake, there is a cost in following the Lord. This is a fact that we need to keep in our mind at all times. Anyone who chooses to follow Jesus in hopes of obtaining a life of ease and luxury is in for a big disappointment. However we do receive so many benefits that it is impossible for us to count all of them Savior and Lord!

Our inner motives must be sincere and focused on coming under the discipline and teaching of our Lord through His Word. We must see ourselves as sinners who need to experience a new birth and cleansing from our sins by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without the application of His blood there is no cleansing of sin and a new birth.

Having experienced the new birth, it is essential that we grow in Christ. This growth is known as discipleship. As the word discipleship implies, it is means that we become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is just as if we were walking the dusty roads of Israel as one of the Lord's follower---going where He went and doing what He said to do.

The call to commitment is always there for us. Jesus wants a total commiment, and He knows when we fall short of being totally committed. He will not accept a half-hearted commitment. He wants all of us! More than mere words, He wants action. It is not just speaking about being sold out for Christ, He wants to see it in our lives.

It is part of our human nature to depart from the truth of God's Word. That means tha it is easier for us to lie than to tell the truth, to steal than to be honest or to be unfaithful than to be faihful. We may be able to fool those around us, but there is no way we can fool the Lord. He knows our inner thought and motives. Before we even speak a word, He knows what we are going to say. Read Psalm 139:1-4.

Blessings dear hearts. May we be faithful disciples as we follow close to Him!
