Leyand Atlantean (Brighton 12)

Hello.

I was just wondering if the museum is still in posession of this vehicle. Also is it still in working order? I am aware it was decapitated for tour work.

Here is a link to a picture of it in service in Brighton, where I drive buses.

Many thanks

Re: Leyand Atlantean (Brighton 12)

Brighton 12 lies in the category of vehicles last in perfect working order but decommissioned to prevent damage to engine with starting without preparation.

Once our new maintenance shed arrives she would be an early candidate for returning to active use. She is of course an open topper now.

Ah brilliant. Nice to know she is in working order. I have fond memories of these buses in service. The noise they made when accelerating up North Street in Brighton was something to behold...
