Re: Tiger 1310 - Pride of the Ballymena Fleet Has Arrived

As noted on the main page 1310 has indeed arrived at the depot to be followed as soon as available by 1309,1311, 1312 and 1313.

Ballymena outstation Kells now has more Ballymena Tigers than Ballymena! We think it is fabulous that five in a row from the one depot of the one model can be preserved and we look forward to the arrival of 1310's sisters.

What do you think of 1310 Michael, do you like?

Re: I drove Tiger 1310 today.

I drove Tiger 1310 today and two things struck me.

First she was heavier on the steering than any N type I have driven. Do you know if this is normal? 1274, for example is a delight in this regard with lovely light steering.

Secondly she was sluggish to start this morning. She needed about thirty seconds of cranking. Do you know if this is normal for Volvos? We have no experience of this engine but normally all the TL 11's start as soon as you turn them. This one had to be cranked.

That said she was a delight to drive and we will probably send her to Knockraha on Saturday which will give me a longer run with her.

It will be interesting to compare her with her four sisters.
