Full Credit Must Go To The Kells Transport Museum

Michael,

You have some great shots of 1143 making the long journey from Ballymena - Cork and I must say 1143 is looking extremely well.

The Kells Transport Museum deserves a lot of credit in relation to 1143 and full marks go to Michael for all his hard work.

1143 came off the road at the end of January 2008 and was parked in Ballymena depot until about a couple of weeks ago. Soon after 1143 came off the road, Ballymena garage started taking bits and pieces off 1143 for parts to keep its active TL11 Tiger fleet on the road, this included a number of seats. If it wasn't for the Kells Transport Museum saving 1143 it would have been completely stripped out and it would have made a one way trip to Hamill scrap yard a short distance away from Ballymena but because of the Kells Transport Museum 1143 was put back together again by Ballymena garage and instead of making the short run to Ahoghill it made the long journey to Cork instead.

Well done to the Kells Transport Museum. As well as saving 1143 you have purchased a fine example of a TL11 Tiger.
