This is indeed a Leyland Leopard PSU3E/4R as given away both by the cab and the body number. Has it gained a DAF engine somewhere along the way? It was new as Barton, Chilwell number 538 in 9/1979 and has the Supreme IV Express body which qualified it for the bus grant. Bartons of Maynooth had a habit of removing the lower lamps on Supreme IV's and this one is no exception.
