Whilst carp tufnol has been the vane material of choice for some years I see that micarta appears to have gained favour lately. If so what grade of micarta is recommended? Are there any other vane materials that are in successful use?
Thanks
Torlon 4435 is considered today to be the best plastic to use for the sliding vane supercharger. The problem is nobody is supplying a ready cut vane that will simply slide into your Judson. If you want to use a modern plastic you will have to cut them to size yourself...not only length and width but thickness too.
