I've installed a "fake" Cosette supercharger in my 1927 Amilcar, which I thin is pretty much lije a Judson. I've experienced serious vibration troubles, apparently from a non correct clearence between vanes and slot. Actually the slots are showing more clearence on the outer side tha on the inner side (6mm vs 5.5mm). Using micarta vanes which should be the correct clearence and how long is it suppose to last under hard operation conditions.
Isd it worth hardening the rotor material (aluminium)?
Thanks a lot for your help
All the best
