Re: Ode to Gallantry / Xia Ke Xing
hey long time no response
we guess we are pretty busy.
will u please inform us when can we expect next update
so that we have something to look forward to
Thank you for your note. Many apologies for the lengthy silence. I have been working shifts, and this situation will not change until the end of the month (December). However, the translation process is still going on. A substantial portion of Chapter 6 has done, but the quality has been affected by my odd hours and lack of sleep. Therefore, I am in the midst of reviewing and editing it, for posting before the New Year holidays.
I've tried sending you an email, but your email address does not seem to be working. Would you please check and let me know? Thanks!
Sincerely
HYS

Re: Ode to Gallantry / Xia Ke Xing
Great, great translation!!! Thank you so much. I am having a blast reading this.
Perhaps the term "gang" is more apporiate for warrior organisations such as the "Chang Le Bang" instead of clan as the members are not linked to one another by blood and their activities share similarties with modern day gangsters. Please consider "Gang of Eternal Happiness" instead of "Clan of Eternal Happiness"
hi great translation! this novel is really funny. i can't wait to read the reaction of bai wan and shipotian's parents when they heard shipotian's question.

Re: Ode to Gallantry / Xia Ke Xing
Hi Haung Yushi,
I am so eager to read the next chapter....that even though I know you must be busy with work....I can't resist adding myself to the chorus of people asking "please post soon!" :)
I have already re-read all 7 chapters and found it even more satisfying than the first time. Thanks for your excellent translation!
hey hys, just want to thank you for your hard effort...loving the flow and style of the translation and the endnotes for the non-chinese to gain a better understanding of the chinese culture. i'm up to chapter 6 right now and will soon start chapter 7 and this is a great read so far. the more i read, the more i feel sorry for spt to be placed in a predicament where he does not wish to lead any clan, has no knowledge on how to be a leader, has no martial arts skills whatsoever, but maybe because of sheer luck (or god's will) he overcomes so many obstacles. i'm still trying to guess how he got the scars on his body and the only thing i can come up with is either ding dang or the real spt left it on our hero....anyhow, once again, thanks a million for all of your effort.

Hope you are having a good summer so far too, free from deluge of rain that's been pouring here in North Eastern US.

Re: Ode to Gallantry / Xia Ke Xing
Hi Htet Htet
Summer? What summer? My summer vac was all over three weeks ago! Boo-hoo!
But Chapter 8 is 25% done. I haven't hit any worthwhile cliff-hanger yet, so I'll be going on for a bit more (hopefully to about 50%) before the text is posted.
Btw, I've finally decided to replace this message board with a blog, so that I can post random spoiler-free ramblings during the translation process. Please feel free to check it out:
