Would like to ask a few serious questions , is the museum closed , are the buses forsale , why no updates on the website , also is it true that all buses are now property of the Irish Government are going to get scrapped,

Hope no one minds me asking these questions its just some of the things I have heard from different people


One thing that bothers me is that the website never gets updated so mybe the above is very true, could anyone here answer the above questions I have asked

Was this glorified scrapheap ever open ? Too many buses to look after . D711 and KD184 rotten beyond repair. I mean if they even had the manners to store these vehicles indoors to give them a chance to be restored instead of letting them out in the elements. A joke of a set up . Im surprised the environmentalists haven't been onto them. Joke of a setup .

As of yet there is no confirmation if any of the rumors are true. You are correct, the fact that the website has not been updated since the fire means it's hard to know just what, if anything, is happening at KTM.

If you type "kells transport museum" into flickr.com you'll see the state that most of the buses have deteriorated to. 190jzl is correct, almost all of the rare machines have reached an advanced stage of decay and are as good as scrap by now, and I know it's a terrible thing for me to say as an enthusiast, but I don't think it much matters at this stage if the Revenue seizes the entire yard and sells what is left of the buses to a scrap merchant.
