Thanks for the note! My Mom is doing well, but she has had some difficulty in the last few months, but we are doing the best we can. It is tough when you see your parents get old and sick. I just take it day by day and try to stay positive and keep a good attitude and keep her spirits up.
I hope this year is not as nerve-wracking as last year with the storms. I do have plenty of water and Diet Cokes stored up! lol Seriously, I am better prepared this year than last.
Unfortunately, I am not coming to the AMC luncheon this year. Things have been too hectic here. I am going back to college in the fall to take a few courses and I am getting prepared for that. I am not sure who really is going to be at the luncheon this year. I hear from the weather reports that it has been really hot in NY!

Yes, it is difficult to see your parents starting to fail but it is nice that she has you to help her. Can be very trying, though.

It's been hot here but not like last year! It was brutally hot in 2005! So your going back to college in the Fall. That's great but it's alittle rough to get used to all the reading and studying again.

Hope to here only good weather this year for the South. Everyone needs some time to try to get back to normal as much as possible.
