I've had several halibut.net customers tell me they've never seen so many halibut in the strait. One friend of mine, who honestly can't catch fish in a barrel, caught easy limits during the first opening. Uhmm??? They must have been thick. They caught fish up to 52 pounds. John |

Fished the derby this weekend outta port angeles.. 1st day big fish was 134lbs, with a 104 right behind it.. several smaller till 36lbs on the bottom.. We boated a 34 and 21 pounder.. Didnt get a decent enough fish to bring in to scale on sunday, don't know what that days results were.. |
