Tony,
I have passed your request to Freda Tout, who is a member of the Selley Family, and will let you have any details as soon as she gets back to me.
I can tell you that the Butchers Shop was in fact situated in the grounds of Cannington House, the Selley Home at that time, and that the address of 50 South street was not correct. SOmetimes I wonder where the people taking the census got their information from as the name of the roads altered every census. Strictly speaking the correct address was in fact The Butchers Shop, Cannington House, West Street Witheridge. |
