Its great that you are recycling the flower pots. I once saw a garden "person" made of various size clay garden pots and it turned out quite nice! Was very artistic and also could have fit into any garden. The arms were made of smaller clay pots stacked together and tied with a rope throught the drainage hole.
My problem is plast pots as well as the clay pots. Clay pots are so easy to use for so many things though. Turn up side down and paint like a bell shape with a pretty design and hang obkects underneath for a garden hanging sculpture or wind chime. Broken or crushed pots make good hole covers so too much dirt doesnt pass through the drainage hole, also enough crushed makes a great squirrel deturrant around bulbs. Many times squirrels will dig up bulbs even if they cant eat them and then leave them on the ground or plant them in your neighbors yard. They wond dig it its too much work though; unless they get desperate. Cher |
