Weapons training isn't the sort of thing that you can read about in order to learn. You may be better off looking around where you live for a martial arts school, many of them offer classes in sword arts. If you can't find a class though, try "The Book of 5 Rings", by Miyamoto Musashi. It's about $10 in bookstores, or free in many places online. It was written in the 1600's (I think) by a vastly famous samurai. As well as sword styles it has strategical and spiritual advice. Many American buisness men study it thinking it will give them some insight into the Japanse mind (it wont). Even this book states "you cannot understand this without practice" over and over again. This may not be a good book for beginners, but you should nevertheless read it at some point. Hope I helped! |
