LARGEST SWORD EVER SEEN

Does anyone know what the most long, and most wide "REAL" sword there is? If so can you please post the URL to the picture, or send the picture to Rune2hander2000@yahoo.com

I am not questioning any one here I have always been told the Zanbatou was the largest sword being anywhere from 7 to 9 foot long

Re: LARGEST SWORD EVER SEEN

The zanbatō is only a fictional weapon that is shown in anime and videogames. There is no historical evidence that the Japanese ever had such a weapon. The Nodachi is the only sword that is recorded to be the largest sword that exists today or in the past.

Re: LARGEST SWORD EVER SEEN

It's not the size of the sword, it's how you use it.

That being said, William Wallace wielded a sword that is 5 and a half feet long in total. It is currently in housed in the New National Wallace Monument in scottland. There is a bad picture of it here, http://www.highlanderweb.co.uk/wallace/sword.htm , but you could probably find a better picture somewhere else.

As to whether or not this is the biggest, I dont know, but it's pretty big!
