Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father the Lord Jesus Christ.
Getting beyond four gospel acconts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we find Acts of The Apostles speaks mostly about Saul-->Paul via Luke again, who writes twice, following Mark(John's surname) and John, to set things in order; And 14 grouped epistles (not letters) of Paul: Romans-->Hebrews, which make up the majority (over 50%) of the New Testament.
So Paul writes more of the New Testament than all six other NT writers combined; Because in Acts he's called to be "his witness unto all men". In most of Paul's epistles he's titled "Paul The Apostle". In Romans he writes to both Jews and Gentiles(Greeks), as if unto the world. For Peter, apostle to the Jews, doesn't get fully converted (from law to grace) till he's read all Paul's epistles, as noted in Luke 22:32 and 2Peter 3:15,16. And James, who also writes to Jews, dovetails with, and is cannonized after, these 14 epistles of Paul, who gets fully converted first: Terrorist Saul-->Wretched Paul-->Converted Paul. Interestingly, he's called a "Christian" as "Saul", in Acts 11, and doesn't become "Paul" till Acts 13.
The gospel of Paul (an apostle of JC by the will of God: I will have mercy and not sacrifice) is also called the "gospel of God" and the "gospel of Christ", which is further clarified as the gospel of "Grace" and "Peace" (not Law and Unrest). It is notably not the gospel of Jesus (made under the law), who brought "division" and not peace; But the gospel of "Christ", who brought "peace" and not division. Said "peace" is via abolition of the law: Ephesians 2, which was "against us": Colossians 2. For by the abolition of law, and end is brought to divisions such as law vs law and law vs grace, leaving us with grace only, and thereby peace only.
Grace and Peace are from higher up than on high; For on high, in plural divided L/R heavens, it is still divisional: either law vs law or law vs grace. But in heaven: higher than the heavens, it is united: grace only, and thereby no divisions. So we find Jesus standing right of divided God on high, and Christ seated right of united God higher, or above the law. Such is where the "throne of grace" is located, at which only mercy (not sacrifice) is obtainable, and only help (not hindrance) is available: Hebrews 4:16.
For Jesus (of e-life is "through Jesus-->Christ) took grace + law(added), such "contrary" things as life + death(added), and made it "division": grace(good) or law(evil): "either make the tree good(grace) or corrupt(law)". So it is written Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ: John 1:17; Grace for salvation and Truth for awareness and understanding of it. It is also written "God our Saviour"(Grace & Truth) will have two things: all men saved(graced), and all men aware (knowledgable) of what they're delivered from: law(sin), and law worketh wrath(destruction). So Pauline episltes clarify we are delivered from the law: Romans 7:6, and we are delivered from wrath: 1Thessalonians 1:10, as if delivered from evil: Matthew 6:13. For law was "both good and evil", which ends badly: evil concupiscence, and even death.
So Pauline epistles (except Hebrews, which is a mini bible itself) open with Grace and Peace from God and Son Unlimited: Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And beginning in Romans, Grace and Peace is offered to both Jews and Gentiles, or globally offered to all; For there is no respect of persons with God: whatever applies to any applies to all, of we all are one.
Law: against us all ... God our Destroyer (Enmity)
Grace: with you all ... God our Saviour (Friend)
Christ is our peace who abolished the law(enmity).
Christ is the end of the law, not the mend of law;
the end of divisions: law vs law & law vs grace.
For Law vs Law is as Loser vs Loser; And
Law vs Grace is still division, not peace.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen. |
