There seems to be an increase in legalism in India, to the point a father locked up and beat his son for marrying outside their legalistic custom; And so long after Gandhi put an end to unjust British LAW by peaceful and passive means.
There is also an increase in violent weather in India:
May 2007: SEVERE STORM KILLS 27 IN NORTHERN INDIA.
