why we love your records
i too love medicine head...slipe n slide sounds so groovy today...i mean..it really has one amazing groove...i love replaying that to people..medicine head has aged very very well....i remember watching them on top of the pops and we only half liked it then cause john sat behind a bass drum like a student geography teacher...but rising sun...one and one is one and slip n slide are one lovely cluster of singles today...i love the slap back echo on one and one is one..its part buddy holly..one part john lennon ....i love those records. box of frogs'back where i started from' is great on the ipod ..and for all of the paul samwell smith/jeff beck trimmings,its actually johns vocal that makes it so darn personable. |

so heart-movingly wondrous to hear from you. when i was a kid i loved the song by Nina Simone, "Don't let me be misunderstood" (2 ss's? oh well.) and, as you know, it is so relevant today, i believe in these feelings, which helps me to understand that i'm at least 2000 years old. love ya always..... |
