Newquay, summer '65
Hi John Remember the camping holiday to Newquay in August ’65? A load of us from 6th form rode down on motorbikes and Percy’s sportscar. For some of us, like me, it was a ‘goodbye’ to school and you had another year before Stafford Art School. You were the coolest 6th former at school – we had cardboard maroon blazers and you wore a wine red leather jacket with your blues and R&B records! We met up a few times later – a party at your Ingestre farmhouse and when Medecine Head played the Lafayette in Wolverhampton. Great times David!!! and so good to hear from you. I remember Percy got sunstroke there!! Norton's, Enfield's, BSA's, MG's!! surf's up!! a very cool trip!!! How's life in Mallorca? tay in touch David, peace, John. |
