Box of Frogs - on Youtube !
Just entered Box of Frogs on you tube on a whim and to my pleasant surprise up popped the promotional Video to Back where i started...excellant Stuff indeed it reallk makes you wonder what could have been if everyone had gone for it, i understand the album was extemely well received in the states.. John, you could of been mistaken for Robert Palmers Younger Brother !! And i wouldnt recommend anybody trying to play an Electric Guiter dripping wet and straight from a swamp !! Hi Steve, This is John's son Joe here, wow matey seeing that video brings back some memories I can tell you!!! Amazing that they weren't a more successful as a group when you see that!! He has awsome talent though and I am a proud son to have such a talented dad - also great fun too!! Lots of fond memories that will live with me forever!! Shame as I've not seen the old git in about 3 years as I'm living in Thailand and he's in USA I do miss him a lot. Take care, Joe |

Hi Joe Nice to hear from you, i recall we sort of met once in a pub where John was playing ( 4 'ish Years Ago ?) At first i went into the wrong Pub - called "Rising Sun" (i wonder why !!) but found the correct Pub (forget the Name,) I had advised two of my mates come along to hear a True talent, and they really enjoyed the Gig, As i recall with John backing on guiter your Aunt sang a Song, and your Sister Sang "Knocking on Heavens Door" Obviously the Fiddlers are blessed with this Musical Gene ...Which rather begs the question where was your contribution ??? Re Box of Frogs, Like British Lions, its a Shame the Goundwork was done, the foundations laid, both bands had great launching pads...only for the Missions to abort, They coulda been a contender, ! Hopefully John will surprise us again with some new material in the near future All us "Old Gits" need a good tonic now and again ! All the Best to you Joe Steve (SWS) |
