I am delighted that this policy will be in place. Two years ago the Corolla herd was the best kept secret in the Spanish Mustang world. Now I suspect that it is accurate to say that in the past year they have received more press and publicity than any strain of Spanish Colonial Horse and all of that credit goes to Tom, Doug, and Vickie and the HOA. The HOA made the effort to recognize this herd. The HOA actually reviewed the proof of their Spanish heritage instead of just scoffing that the eastern horses were not "straight." The HOA's assistance to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund has helped get the off site breeding program off of the ground.
Karen McCalpin and Steve Rogers of the Corolla Wild Horse Fund are two of the most dedicated staffers that one will find in such an organization. They, along with the HOA, have made it possible for my little riders to train and ride these amazing horses. |
