In an effort to stop the nasty e-mails we have taken certain steps to stop the troublemaker whom we have identified. We will not say how but we think it may work.  If it does not, then we will have to go to full password.  However, in doing so there is a risk we may have stopped one or two genuine people and we simply do not know until we see what happens.

If you think we have deleted your message by mistake and you are genuine please e-mail us at busmuseum@hotmail.com with your message and we will post it immediately for you.

Message:   Further from getting KD184 roaring again, other work has managed in me gettng all gears and once the half shafts are in place, she should be driving around in no time, at a slow speed as we do not want to shake her any more than we have to.

During the next week, I will be reconditioning the engine and salvaging parts from MG106, which had a recond engine 67,000 miles before wthdrawal.

It is the intention to either piece 184 back together in Wicklow or move her so that KD156 can recieve the engine. In the severity of what looks like a giant mess, KD184 is actually electronically & mechanically complete, although she needs a lot of body work it is not imossible and could be done, as she is the only Bus Eireann Surviving KD.

Anybody who would like to gain a bit more insight into the workings of the Detroit 6V71 engine is more than welcome next week, as the MVPSI team will be on hand for phase one of the Summer 08 Timetable.
