Welcome to the Kells Transport Museum Message Board.

Ireland's Operating Bus Museum!

There is no password required to post but you must give your e-mail.  if you do not your message will be deleted.  The Board is intended to discuss Buses, Trains, Airlines and ferries and other forms of transport.  No offensive messages are allowed. Please cooperate.

In an effort to stop the nasty e-mails we have taken certain steps to stop the troublemaker whom we have identified. We will not say how but we think it may work.  If it does not, then we will have to go to full password.  However, in doing so there is a risk we may have stopped one or two genuine people and we simply do not know until we see what happens.

If you think we have deleted your message by mistake and you are genuine please e-mail us at busmuseum@hotmail.com with your message and we will post it immediately for you.

Only 2601/4/8-10/3/29 now remain of which 2601 has a blown engine and is only fit for scrap. 2605 went for scrap earlier in the month.
As to the condition of the rest, 2609 was the one fitted with a higher ratio back axle when it was based at Ballymena and consequently has a better turn of speed. It was latterly loaned to Citybus and was taken out of use after developing a defect but I don't know how serious that was. I think the other one Citybus had is defective to, but again I don't know how serious. It is probably something minor as had it been serious, both would probably have gone for scrap straight away.
