Toddler aggressive behaviors
I have a 16 month old in my care who is very violent and aggressive. He is constantly hitting and pushing. If a child is in his way, he will force his way past or push them over, if need be. He also has VERY violent tantrums where he hits objects repeatedly or hits the wall, sometimes with his head! He seems to be developing normally and his tantrums don't seem to stem from communication issues. I have tried positive reinforcement, re-direction and time-outs, all without success. Please help!!! I think something might be really wrong, but his parents don't seem too concerned (he is an only child) Thanks for any input! |
