I liked that letter that i read. I got if off of one of my internet yahoo military groups called just_military. I am also with a bunch of other military groups on yahoo, myspace, and y! messenger. I am also on a site called www.adoptaussoldier.org. I adopted my soldier and more people adopted their soldiers off of there too that are stationed in the middle east right now. I am more into my patriotic military ways now more than ever and that is a beautiful letter and song.
My father served in the Vietnam War in the USAF as an MP and was honorably discharged.
My gpa Frye off my father's side was in the Army served in WWII.
My other gpa off my mom's side was stationed in the Phillippines along with Gen. McArthur and took pics of him and signed autongraphs on the back of the pics. He was in the US Army as an Army MP.
My Uncle served in the US Navy in the Vietnam era, but never went to the war, but was stationed in Tenn. State.
My other Uncle off my mom's side of the family was in the US Navy in WWII and is now living in kerville, Tx.
My cousin is in the US TANG (Texas Air National Guard) Aka, the Air Force and might possibly go to the middle east.
My brother is stationed in Afghanistan in the Mountains over there at a huge base. He is in the US Army. He is an Army MP like my Gpa and my dad. He comes home in May of next year, 2008. Stationed in the States at Fort Stuart, GA. In the 3rd Rapid Deployment Unit. He is a Gunner on top of the Humvey.
My other Uncle, Uncle Casey served in Operation Desert Storm in the First Sadam War. He was US Army.
My best friend is stationed in Washington State as an Army Radiologist. Doesnt know if he will go to the middle east of not yet.
My good friend is in the US Navy in Guam about to leave in another month for Kuwait, then Iraq. He is a Naval Welder.
My bf is in Iraq still, in the US Army, as a Tank Mechanic. He is supposed to come home this month for Christmas. I hope he does. I love him soooooo much.
& the list goes on and on of who i know that is in the military. But yes i know how everyone must feel about that letter and some family member serving or will be serving or friends or other loved ones. I know. Pray to God to bring them home safe. Love you baby!  |
